Learn how to level Chef, and the best Chef products to make and sell on the Trading Post. Chef is often overlooked by players, but it's one of my personal favorites:
Leveling the Chef skill can be a frustrating experience. The best way to level a crafting discipline is by using the Discovery panel. But unlike other crafts, the Discovery process for Chef is not a straightforward matter of "Make six of item A and six of item B, then combine them with one each of type C."
To make things worse for Chef, 95% of the products you create are not worth money. With a few exceptions, the Chef products are a losing proposition. As you are leveling, you will pretty much have to throw away everything you make.
The easiest way to level Chef is to use the wiki. Go to the page that corresponds to your crafting level:
Use the list of ingredients on the page to unlock each recipe on the Discovery panel.
Most Guild Wars 2 Chef products are not worth any money. There are a few notable exceptions:
