Stormcaller and Charged Stormcaller Weapons

Learn how to get Stormcaller weapons, upgrade them to the Charged Stormcaller version, and why you should NOT salvage them.

The Stormcaller weapons are a set of level 80 exotic weapons which launched with the No Quarter chapter of Living World season 5, The Icebrood Saga. These crafted weapons come in four different stat sets: Assassin’s, Berserker’s, Cleric’s, and Knight’s.

Crafting the weapons requires level 400 Artificing, Huntsman, and Weaponsmith skills. The weapons are not account bound, which means you can buy and sell them on the Trading Post.

There are four weapons per warband, and four warbands, for a total of 16 weapons.

Ash Legion: Assassin’s
Blood Legion: Berserker’s
Flame Legion: Cleric’s
Iron Legion: Knight’s

Don’t Salvage Stormcaller Weapons

Although the item card for these weapons includes a warning, some players have run into this problem. So let’s state it up front: Do not salvage your Stormcaller weapons.

You need the tier 1 weapon in order to make the tier 2 weapon.

Stormcaller Weapon Recipes

In order to make a Stormcaller weapon, you need the recipe. You can only find these recipes in the relevant warband’s crafting box.

These crafting boxes are rewards for completing achievement sets, including the “Glory to the X Legion” achievements for donating your Charr Commendations.

Ash Legion Crafting Box: Assassin’s Dagger, Pistol, Short Bow, and Sword.

Blood Legion Crafting Box: Berserker’s Axe, Greatsword, Longbow, and Warhorn

Flame Legion Crafting Box: Cleric’s Focus, Scepter, Staff, and Torch

Iron Legion Crafting Box: Knight’s Hammer, Mace, Rifle, and Shield

In addition to the weapon recipe, you need one Stormcaller Core recipe. You need one Stormcaller Core per weapon you craft. You can get this recipe by completing the first tier of the Stormcaller Armsmaster achievement. You can also discover the recipe on a level 400 Artificer, Huntsman, or Weaponsmith by combining:

10 Charged Lodestone
75 Bolt of Gossamer
25 Orichalcum Ingot
1 Charged Quartz Crystal

Stormcaller Cores are not account-bound, which means you can buy and sell them on the Trading Post.

Charged Stormcaller Weapons

The Charged Stormcaller weapons are a level 80 exotic weapon set. They are an upgraded, tier 2 version of the Stormcaller weapons. This weapon set was released with the Jormag Rising chapter of Living World Season 5, The Icebrood Saga.

You will need to have a Stormcaller weapon in order to make the Charged Stormcaller version of the weapon.

Crafting the weapons requires level 400 Artificing, Huntsman, and Weaponsmith skills. The weapons are not account bound, which means you can buy and sell them on the Trading Post.

NOTE: Currently the Charged Stormcaller weapons are selling for 100-125 gold on the Trading Post. The materials cost is only 70-80 gold. This means you will clear a good profit, even after accounting for Trading Post fees. Expect prices for the Charged Stormcaller weapons to drop over time, as more people either craft them or lose interest in the set.

Charged Stormcaller Weapons Recipes

Whereas the Stormcaller weapon recipes were sorted by legion, the Charged Stormcaller weapons are divided into two factions: Dominion and Frost Legion.

As with the Stormcaller weapons, you get Dominion and Frost Legion crafting boxes by donating Charr Commendations to the respective factions.

In addition to 2 Stormcaller Cores per weapon, you also need 2 Amalgamated Draconic Lodestones. You can get the recipe for Amalgamated Draconic Lodestones by completing tier 1 of the Master of the Storms achievement.
